Your kitten thinks he is playing. Unfortunately this is something he may have learned since he was very small. that is why i always recommned that cat owners do not play with their cats with their hands etc only with toys.

Your kittens thinks that hands are for biting etc. This is fine when they are small but as they get bigger this is a problem.

You will need to teach him not to bite any more. this will take some time now i'm afraid. Please see my page here about how to do this

https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-discipline.html

It is important that everyone in your household does the same negative response to his biting. he will eventually realize that the game ends when he bites and so should stop it.

Don't forget also to get him some new toys and play with these with him. this will help to refocus playtime onto toys rather than hands etc.

best wishes kate

Aggressive Play

At least he hasn't left permanent scars on your hands from his claws like my Angora did. The 'get the sock game' was never quite the same after that.
Some cats know how to be gentle when playing rough, but most don't, and experience may teach it's better not to get them in the habit.
