Our Gracie came to us on Halloween 2010. We were ready to open our hearts and home to another after losing our almost 19-year old Maine Coon "Bobcat" on June 2, 2010 from a stroke. Gracie is a 2 1/2 year old manx and I have to be honest, she is a plump gal. She is very solid with a very dense gray coat and actually reminds you of a "bulldog" wearing a tux with white blouse when she is running around, playing with her toys, going after treats, etc. One of the things that my husband and I laugh about is that she will lay down on the floor on her back with all fours up in the air and just lay there for sometimes up to 30 minutes. She will look up at us to make sure we are watching and then she will blink especially to my husband as if she is flirting with him. She is his "pretty girl" although she is far from being delicate and dainty. She does not "meow" much, now and then, but when you call her when you are out of sight, she comes running to you and she grumbles. She likes to sit up in one of our leather chairs with her back against one of the arms and places her right paw in her lap and hangs her right back paw off the chair - it is so funny and she seems to enjoy you laughing at her. She has had a bit of an issue with pooping outside her litter box and other parts of the carpet, but with the help of comments on this website, we have been given some good advice and are trying to see what may be upsetting her and making her do this. Please keep fingers crossed that we can solve this issue, we are confident that eventually we will conquer it. Gracie has been a blessing in our lives after losing our "Bobcat" last year.
TaTa for now!
