A Cat Photo Page For Nunu

Nunu my cat
This gorgeous ball of fluff spent many months as a "feral" cat in the grounds of an old age home in a not too afluent area of Durban, South Africa. I met a lady who fed feral cats daily. Having told her I was looking for a cat she immediately thought of this one and sent me a photo. I fell in love with her instantly and agreed to adopt her. Nunu had recently had a second litter and they were due to be taken away from her so when that happened off she went to the vet to be spayed and brought to me the next morning.
Once she settled into her new home she wiggled her way into everyone's hearts. She got her name because she is not as big as cats normally are - she is my little dwarf!! She is very playful, but oh my goodness, what an attitude. She thinks she is a real madam. Her voice is not so loud, only on the odd occasion, usually she is very quiet. She absolutely loves attention, but don't try to hold her - that is just too much for her to handle!!! Her paws have tufts of hair coming out - reminds us of pom-poms!
Wherever I am in the house, there she will be. IF i leave the room she quickly follows me even if someone else is making a fuss of her. I can walk up and down the passage doing odd things and she will just keep following me. I have had her for 5 months now and cannot think of life without her. She absolutely refuses to go outside! "Those days of being outside are behind me now" is how I imagine her thoughts to be!
Little Nunu has blossemed since coming to live with me. She has fattened up, maybe a bit too much but that is not from eating human food as she doesn't get that and she really has quite a small appetite. Her fur has improved tremendously and she has gotten even more fluffy.
I recently (3 weeks ago) adopted another "feral" cat of Siamese parentage. Nunu tolerates the new cat but they haven't made friends yet. I am confident that they will in time. No major fights yet, just a lot of hissing (more from Nunu than from the new cat - Nala) and a lot of "snorting" from Nunu. She has a real piggy snort which leaves us in hysterics. She has always been a heavy breather, vet not sure why, I think because she has such a squashed up face! I have been told she may have some Persian in her. Maybe that is why. I hope you all think this little madam deserves a vote!
