ALANA AND BOOTS

I have a cat that to the best of my knowledge is approximately 4-5 mos old. He is happy, healthy and I love him very much.

Lately, he has begun to "hump" some of our stuffed animals-is this an indication that it is time for him to be neutered ?
Also, the other day, while playing, his tail get very puffy-he did not seem aggressive, but what does it mean when this happens?

yep your right, he is now moving into adult hood and his behaviour is a sure indication of this.

Just like humans his behaviour will change as he is affected by all the new hormones and changes in his body. It really would be a good time to book him in to be neutered soon if that is what you are planning to do. the operation is quick and simple for a male cat and will help to make him less frustrated and a much calmer and happier pet.

best wishes kate
