Banjo - Not a instrument but a fierce cat

Banjo My Boyish cat
This is our ginger tom cat BANJO. He lives with myself and my wife Jill in Woodford Green, Essex in England.
When we first got him we noticed he had a strange meow sound on him which wasn't the normal cat meow. As he grew it became apparent that he was half Siamese and this would account for his odd meow.
He also had the personality of a Siamese cat too. He was bold and brave and very independent.
We called him Banjo as i play the bass Banjo in a local band and thought what a good name it would be for a cat.
Banjo is quite a large cat and very butch, he likes to play rough and i have the scars to prove it. Although he looks like a big softee from this picture he really isn't. It makes you think he wants a tickle and then just as you go to stroke him he jumps up and tries to take a bite.
I always have to tell visitors to keep their fingers to themselves just in case.
Update
Sad to say that Banjo our cat left this earth after being with us for 17 years. Old age got to him and his health started to fail to the point that he was suffering. We had to help him on his way which was one of the hardest things we had to do.
I would say though after the grief subsided we did feel a sort of peace knowing that we helped to stop his pain and suffering.
We now have a 1 year old kitten called Holly who is absolutely adorable. We got her from a rescue centre, she was only 9 weeks old when we found her and although we didn't want such a young cat, one look and she melted your heart.
So although we will never forget our Banjo and he will always have a place in our hearts. Little Holly our new kitten has brought joy and happiness back into our home.
