Bean My cat

Bean is our special little cat. As a child I grew up with cats, and when our last one died, I was very sad. For about a year and a half we went without a cat, and I keep wanting a little kitty again. Finally Bean showed up on our doorstep. We do not know where she came from, or who she belonged to before, but she had decided to adopt us, and she wasn't about to go away. It took a few months, but my parents finally came to terms with the fact that this cat was ours, and she started to live inside with us.
Bean has fully been adopted into the family now, since we didn't want her freezing her paws off in the cold winter weather. She loves sleeping on my bed, and tearing apart a toy mouse she found in my room.
The name Bean came from a character in an Orson Scott Card novel that my boyfriend was reading at the time Bean started coming inside. Bean is a very intelligent cat, which is how she got her name. She can open the door when she wants out of my room, and if she's outside and wants in, she knows that if she runs across the roof to the right window and meows, we'll hear her, and let her in. She has various been called Mister Bean and Beanie Baby and other variations, but Bean is who she is.
