Beloved Friend - A Cat Poem

I behold a child of feline fur, I child, I feel so loved.
Your furred mother left and I have appeared to utter these simple words.
I love you friend, till the end.
And, yet you disappeared.
The lonely road you must pass, knowing you will not be here.
Yet, I understand of the fate you hold.
I promise I will shed tears.
But, know in my heart you will be missed and held so precious, so dear.

I loved this precious soul of mine, the one I feel so near.
I walk this earth to see you again.
For once I stand in Rainbow Bridge,
I stand before my friend.
I will wait until that day to pet you once again!
