Bloody discharge from cats anus

My 15 year old neutered male cat has slight bloody discharge around his anus and sometimes has blood in his stool. What could be causing this?

well it is difficult to say for sure as there are several things which could be causing this from constipation, a slight tear and or internal polyps to perhaps something more serious. This is why it is important that a vet check him out as soon as possible so that if there is anything wrong it can be treated sooner rather tan later.

It is probably something easily treated so don't worry just yet.

Hope he is better soon

best wishes kate
