both cats foaming at mouth

about a week ago my 6yr old dlh started foaming at the mouth. may possibly be vomiting, too. she eats and drinks and goes to the litter box as usual. she's indoor/outdoor. today, her 1yr old "daughter" is displaying the same symptoms, this one is strictly indoor. she seems to be more lethargic than her mother. what is this? i looked in their mouths and saw no sores or ulcers..no debris between the teeth. this is obviously contagious and i have a 5mo old kitten that has been exposed to both of them. i'm concerned for her health. i've never seen anything like this in my life and it's scaring me. please, i need answers

Hi either they have managed to eat something which has caused this (catnip can do this in some cats) or as you say they have caught something which is contagious. In which case your only option is to take them to the vets as soon as you can. There is no way or knowing what it is and if it is something contagious then the vet will be the only one who can treat.

I hope they are Ok
