Luna
You’re my true companion.
Observant green eyes,
Trail my every move.
You greet me with love,
and sandpaper kisses.
You soothe my spirit,
And brighten my day.
You lend a paw,
When I need you most.
You embrace my heart,
When others don’t.
Hearing you hum,
Your purr-like song,
Reminds me to get quiet,
And share a short rest.
You’re my muse,
You teach by example.
I live a richer life,
Just by watching you.
You were meant for me,
A gift, like no other.
Your life is priceless,
My precious Calico Cat.
