Cat Abnormally losing weight

Hello,

I will take my cat to the vet, but I wanted to see if someone has a potential explanation also.
I have a cat that was kind of overweight, but healthy and happy living. The cat seems healthy and still happy living, but she is losing weight with no change in the diet and no change in the cat behavior. All typical observations at the litter box and feeding stand are as usual.
What could be the reason for this weight loss? (only visual observation, only the vet will be able to provide the before and after weight)

well it could be several things but one of the most common is thyroid problems. My own cat went through this, she ate as normal, well no she ate more than she did normally but she lost wieght all the same.
Sometimes the condition can be controlled by tablets if not then they can remove the thyroid. My own cat is back to her normal self now.
