i have a cat she is a year old(sophie), then we got a kitten she's about 3 months old(cruzan) now. Both female, past few weeks we had friends over, one friend left some stuff behind and since then, both cats have been peeing and pooping on everything, i dont know wat to do, the older cat has never done this before and the kitten is just following what my older cat dose. Any suggestions?.... we move the kitty room back to the way it was but i still feel like there is something deeper wrong with the one year old cat(sophie)...

This is not unusual behavior. There are new scents in the house due to your visitor being around and your cats feel as if they have to make the home smell more like them to make them feel secure in there home again.

Clean everything and then sprinkle some dry bicarbonate of soda on the carpets etc and leave for a while before vacuuming up. Then rub the cat and the kitten with a clean towel and rub the towel all over the house ie on door frames, chair legs etc. This will spread there scent around and sould make them feel secure in their home.

If the behavior continues you may have to try confining the cats to one room for a few days with their litter tray and toys etc, this helps to settle the cats down as they only have a small area to get used to , then let them out gradually to new areas of the house.
