Cat bonds

by danelle
(los angeles)

My Uncle recently passed away and left behind three beautiful cats. The cats have been together for 10 years. I am trying to find a home for them, but reluctant to split them up. The problem is I have people that will take one of them, not all three.

Will they be okay if they are split from each other? Or should I resolve myself to find a home that will take all three?
Thank you

Hi i am sorry to hear of your recent loss.

well in my opinion it is kinder to leave the cats together after being pals for 10 years. this is especially true after their recent change in circumstances.

Although cats can be very adaptable they do go though periods of mourning (see this page for more on this https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-grief.html ) and I just feel that the easier we can make for them the better.

of course if there is no other option then you will have to split them up but if you can keep them together i think it would be better for them .

best wishes Kate
