Cat Fur Falling Out

We brought our 11 year old cat from Australia when we moved back here 10 mnths ago.Recently we noticed she was scratching a lot and when we looked under her belly all her fur had gone.The fur is now going from the back of her hind legs,genital area and tail.She is eating and drinking well.We have wormed and given her a flea treatment.She is an indoor cat now she is here in the UK.Her diet has changed,in Australia she used to eat kangaroo meat and now she eats tinned and dried food.Hoping you can help.Regards,Linda

I could take a guess but your best bet is to take to vet. I know a move like that had to be tough. good luck

Hi, this definately sounds like a skin allergy or allergic reaction to something. Little Mo had a similar problem and it turned out she was allergic to flea bites, even though she did not have fleas at the time, one had got on her and bitten her and she had reacted. The vet had to give her an injection.

It sounds like quite severe reaction that your cat has. I would strongly recommend a visit to the vets.
