cat fur sticking together

My 1/2 siamese spayed female has recently had her fur all over, especially on back clump together. It is not matted and is easily brushed. It appears oily. She is an indoor cat and has no fleas. She is losing a lot of hair. Brushing does not help. Do you think it could be the indoor dry food she is eating? She has also been peeing in weird places, like on my clothes and bed. My other cat looks fine. Help!!

Thanks for you help!

Hi
well yes it could well be a nutritional issue but you can never be absolutely sure and if fur is also falling out their may be a skin allergy also involved or a substance may have got onto the fur. i would want to have a vet take a look at her especially as she is also peeing outside her litter, this may indicate some distress.

I do have a web page about general cat fur and skin issues which you may find of further interest here

bet wishes and I hope your cat is back to their old self again soon.
