Cat has a dry spot on the back of her head, what could this be?

My cat has a dry spot on the back of her head. When I touch and rub on it it doesn't seem to bother her but it becomes flakey. The area is rough and the hair looks thin in that spot. What could this be and how do I address this?

Hi
there are many skin conditions which may be the cause of this. can i recommend that you take a look at my web page about skin problems, it may be able to help you discover the possible cause.

here is the page

https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-hair-loss.html

At the end of the day the only way to truly discover the cause is for a vet to take a look at the area, they will be better placed to recognise conditions and suggest a treatment.

i hope the cause can be discovered soon. Best wishes Kate
