Cat has bleeding bowel movement

Dear Guide,

I have a 6 years ordinary cat. This couple days i looked at her eyes that she got some kind of sore eyes and i dont know why its happened like that.

Then tonight, suddenly her bowel movement bleeding and so much blood came out. I am panic and i dont know what to do. After clean everything i have put her in her cage but she looks too weak. Please guide me what to do because at this time all the veterinary at my place is closed already.

I have two other cats in my house and Im afraid if this is can be spread to them too....

Thank you and regards,
Mummy

I'm afraid there is not much you can do for her until you can get her to a vets. Keep her warm and comfortable and make sure she has plenty of fresh water nearby. then in the morning take her to a vets straight away.

It is impossible to say what has caused this bleeding, she really does need to be examined by a vet to be able to find out what is wrong.

Whether or not the eye issue is related is difficult to say, it may just be that your cat is very under the weather and is suffering several infections.

i have a web page about eye conditions in cats which you may find of further interest here

https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-eye-problems.html

I hope she is OK again soon. you have done the right thing in trying to care for her and keep her away from the other cats, not because i think she may be infectious but it will allow her to have some time on her own.

best wishes Kate
