Cat has diarrhea helpToni

I have a med haired male cat, neutered who is about 5 years old. He has always been fairly clean, but for the last three days, every place he sits, he leaves a ring of feces; sometimes very liquidy.

I don't know what to do, the cat was abandoned onto me and I can not afford to send him to the vet as I am a single mom of a 2 year old who was not anticipating the added burden of a full grown cat

Help please, I don't know hat to do

Cat diarrhoea can be caused by several things from a tummy bug, to a change of food, to eating something bad or in the worse case something possibly more serious (only a vet would be able to diagnose this) in most cases though it is usually something that will pass in a few days.

Please see my web page about cat diarrhoea, there you will find some info about how to treat it at home, here is the first page
https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-diarrhea.html

However if the problem does not ease in a few days then unfortunately you will have to seek a vets advice and treatment. If you are having difficulty with vet bills, ask them if they know of any animal charities near by that may be able to help. Often there is some help available.

I hope he's better soon

best wishes Kate
