Cat has minor facial twitches

Hello. I have a a 3 yr-old female cat that gets a facial/head twitch noticeable when she is super relaxed / laying still. It is very minor so it is hard to tell the frequency. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi

All cats I have had had had small occasional twitches, especially when they are asleep. I have never worried about them and put it down to dreaming.

i think the only time you may want to have it checked out is if it is more frequent and happens even when they are fully alert. In which case it could be a nerve issue of a neurological issue.

I assume also that they do not have any parasites, fleas etc or ear mites which can also cause cats to twitch.

i have a page about ear mites for more information

best wishes Kate
