cat heavy breathing after exercise

My male cat, 1 year old, sometimes breathes very heavily (panting) through his mouth after exercising. Is this normal? He has no other health concerns.

Hi
I have seen my own 1 year old cat do this after having a run around with his brother. I believe it is over excitement rather than anything physical.

However i would just mention it to the vet the next time you go. he will be bale to check his heart etc in case there are any problems.

My cat does it when the game is very exciting and frantic, I think he almost frightens himself with the game and this causes him to pant.

best wishes Kate
