Cat In Charge

my cat thinks hes in charge. and when i punish him for something he gets mad and will keeping doing all the while making sure i notice. he just thinks he can do whatever and that hes in charge of things. and he doesnt show aggression against me but he does get fed up and mad at me and just starts being bad. is there something i can do to show him im in charge?

Cats do not behave like humans, they don't think like humans and so need to be treated differently to humans.

So it is importnat to understand that your cat is not being bad or naughty, they do not understand this behavior. What they are doing is just something that you consider to be bad, to them they are just doing what ever.

letting a cat know that something is not acceptable has to be handled carefully for them not to become afraid of you and so begin to not trust you etc. For this reason I have written a page about this so that you can discipline your cat in such a way so as to teach them what is good and what is bad (in your books) they will soon realise what gets a good response and what does not and change their behaviour accordingly.
