My cat is just laying around acting sleepy and not eating hardly. This started yesterday she just acted strange-she didn't come in to eat all except 1 time and then last nite when she came in finally she went straight to her bed. She a little food this morning but she is just laying around and that is nothing like her. I brought her in the house and she has been sleeping on bed for over a hour maybe 2 I go in to check on her and I have left my door open but she has not even tried to come out and that is not like her at all she is usually active thru out the day and comes in all thru the day to eat and then stays in the house at night. I am worried bec I don't know what is up! Is there something I can do for her or some way to help her? Tammy

Hi
well it is not unusual from time to time for a cat to pick up a big like we all do, which makes them feel a little unwell for a day or two. Normally a little virus will go after a few days.

All you can do is to keep an eye on her for another day or so, let her sleep and make sure she drinks some water to prevent dehydration.

if there is no change or if the symptoms become worse then you will have to take her to see a vet.

however at this time I would not worry too much her symptoms are light and so as I say may just be a passing virus or tummy upset.

best wishes kate
