MY 7 YEAR OLD CAT IS LOSING FUR AT THE BASE OF THE TAIL GOING UPWARDS IN A STRAIGHT LINE. SHE ALSO CRIES A LOT . SHE EATS AND DRINKS WELL DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE SICK SHED HAS NO SORES ON HER BODY. COULD THIS BE STRESS? SHE HATES HER TWIN SISTER THEY ALWAYS FIGHT A LOT. HELP

Answer from Kate
Hi yes sometimes anxiety is an issue causing a cat to over groom and cause bald areas. However because this is area specific to the tail area and i am wondering if it is more likely to be either a flea or other parasite issue as this area is often affected.

Please see my page here for more on this
