i just noticed that my cat started losing hair under his right nostril. i wonder what that could be? i just moved to a new place, and it was a little dusty in the beginning. could that be a cause?

Hi
well yes that could be causing the problem, especially if the cat is licking himself there more to get rid of dust etc.

Fur loss can be caused by several things from over grooming caused by stress, to parasites, to cuts and grazes.

As long as your cat is free from any parasites and is generally in good health I would not worry to much at this stage. It may be caused by the stress of the move and also as you say the dust.

keep an eye on it and if it gets worse then it may be a good idea to have them checked by a vet.

best wishes KAte
