what does a big lump on the back hip of a kitten mean?

I'm sorry I am not a vet and there is no way that anyone can diagnose something like this without seeing it.

I would suggest taking him to the vets as soon as possible to get this sorted out. A lump anywhere where there shouldn't be one is always something that should be investigated sooner rather than later.
lets hope it is nothing too serious.
