Because when we got him. within a week he had eaten through 3 phone chargers so we thought he would probably end up electrocuting himself at some stage so Sparky seemed appropriate. Hes now 8 years old and hasn't electrocuted himself yet (although we do keep all wires away from him these days) and hopefully he never will live up to his name.
