Cat not as playful as before

hi just recently let my boy cat out and is no longer playfull when he comes into house but before we let him out he used to be soooo playfull but dont want to know now is this normal? is he just over excited about going out he just makes himself tired? thanks

cats and kittens go through all sorts of stages and changes in their behavior as they grow up.
Your cat is having a wonderful time outside and yes is probably tiring himself out especially as it is all new to him. However over time he will balance out and will not be quite so active outside and so want to pay a bit more when he is in.
however you must realize that as cats get older they do become less and less playful and do want to sleep more.
