I have a 2 year old female, spayed and litter box trained. Today for the first time, she peed on my rocking chair. Something she has never done before. Could she be sick?

Pee-free house!
by: Jabob Parker

Hello everyone. This is an excellent article and after reading through comments I saw many people having problems with their cat peeing around the house. I myself had the same exact thing with my cat (why else would I be reading here, heh).
I've had a cat for 6 months and now I've also taken a dog and they get along very well. What changed after getting the dog was that my cat started to pee everywhere outside the litter box. I searched the internet for ways to help me with this problem and I found out a great site with excellent product that helped me fast. I recommend checking it out if you have problems with your cat peeing outside the litter box. The site stopyourcatfrompeeing.com

On furniture, use spray bottle with 1/2 cup of vinegar. Laundry use 1 cup in wash.really works.

my ca is peeing on furniture
by: Ginnie

I really hope someone can give me some help, I have 3 cats and they all are litter box trained. The problem is that one of my 2 male cats has stopped using his litter box and uses my floor to poop and gets on my futon couch and pees. I am at wits end here, I am so mad at this point that I am ready to take him to the animal shelter. I love this cat but I can not have a cat that is going to ruin my furniture. I don't know if this has anything to do with why he may be doing this, but he is a large cat(his name is fatty bear)and weighs at least 20-25 pounds..Any advice or solution is greatly appreciated, I really don't want to have to get rid of him, i just want him to use the litter pan again..Thanks, Ginnie

Can't be true

My kitten is doing the same thing. He is to young to be marking things and he will be broken I promise by then. what is the most effective way to train him to pee in the litterbox consistently.

Reply
you did not say how young your kitten is. usually kittens learn from their mother about using a litter tray. They learn by watching their mother scrabble in the litter etc, so you need to do the same. Pick up your kitten put them in the litter tray and with their front paws scrabble in the litter to dig a little hole. Do this aftyer they eat a meal as this is when they will feel like going.
