My Favorite Brady my cat in her spot

I adopted Brady 2 yrs. ago from the SPCA in Pinellas Park FL. Brady was the first cat I had a one on one visit with, and he responded to me the most. He had such a sad look on his sweet face in that kennal, like he thought he would never get out of that box, and this was it for him. He spent 3 months there, and when we had our visit I knew he was the pet for me. I named him, repeated his name over and over on the long ride home, I also sang to him, by the time we got there he knew his name and always responds to it.

Brady is a white and orange 16 lb American Shorthair. He was 6 when I adopted him, he just turned 8 this January. He has georgous green eyes and a very friendly personality. He is so well behaved and so very lovable, I can't even understand how anyone could have put this cat up for adoption. The first time I took him to get a check-up the vet observed how we interacted and said, he was ment to be your pet, and you were ment to be his owner. I said you probably say that to everyone. He said no I don't, I can just tell. It instanly brought a tear to my eye. I still sing to him sometimes for comfort.

I just wanted to say your cat is beautiful! You did a wonderful thing by adopting him. Thank you for sharing your story!
I have 2 cats. Bootsie is a male and he is 3 and Bonnie is about 10 months(female) Both my husband rescued from outside our apt. building. They are both tiger tabbies. I love cats and if I had a house I would rescue all of them. I also feed the stray and feral cats.
