cat pooping on the floor

I've had a my female cat for 8 years. She has always been a wonderful edition to our family. She has been fixed & declawed. We brought home a puppy a few weeks ago. My cats seems very unhappy about this. Yesterday she pooped in my daughter's room twice. She doesn't like the puppy. Infact she tries to attack him if he gets too close to her.

this is a very common problem and the pooping is a sign that your cat feels threatened in their own home. It is very important that the two animals get to know each other slowly and in a calm and controlled manner as described on my page about introducing cats to each other (the process is the same for dogs)
https://www.our-happy-cat.com/introducing-cats.html

Take a few steps backwards and start the process as described on the page. Allowing the animals a period of controlled time to get to know each other whilst other times still having their own space. It may take a couple of weeks but as the two animals get used to each others presence and the new smells etc things should settle down.

best wishes kate
