Cat pulling his fur out

Hello there,

My name is Mandi. I have a 9yr old Himilayan cat who about a yr ago got surgery done to him, because he had crystals in his bladder. Recently he started pulling out his hair and now has a larger bald spot on him. I also notice his back leg kind of twitches when the skin area irritates him. What could this mean? I called a local vet, and they said it didn't sound too serious. I made him an appnt anyways. What do you think this could be?

sounds to me like he may either have allergy

or may have a parasite problem

Taking him to the vets is the best option so that they can decide which it is and prescribe the correct treatment.

it is not serious but does need treating.
