Cat ran away

My cat of 2 years just ran away from home. I let him outside at 5:30 in the morning before breakfast. I eat and shower and get dressed and i go outside at 7:30 to get him. I do this every day, but this time I could not find him.

I went for work and when I got home at 3:30 I was gonna loook for him but could not find. Now its 7:10 and hes no where to be seen... Im worried sick and dont know what to do. Hes neutered by the way.

Hopefully by the time you read this reply your cat is back at home with you.

Cats will do a disappearing at from time to time in my experience and for no apparent reason, but they usually turn up again after their adventures. The only time they won't is if they have become shut in somewhere or have wandered too far off of their patch (but cats are usually still very good over long distances)
