Cat scared of tv & pooping on the floor

My cat has become very scared of the television recently. He's almost three years old and the only cat in the home, he'll sit and stare at the tv from the door usually or just runs away, its almost as though he is watching something that i cant see myself. he's also started to pee and poo on the bathroom rug or at the front door and the living room carpet, he never used to do this either. Otherwise he seems pretty fine, lets you pet him and goes outside a few times a day just walking around.

If you can give any insight into what is happening or what to do because of it i would be so grateful.

Some cats are more nervous than others and require help to relax. There are products on the market which can help anxious cats overcome their fears and calm down. i have a page about scared and nervous cats on my site which you may find of further information here

Don't worry this should be a temporary state which he will overcome in time.
