cat will and wont use litter box

my cat is about 7 mo. old. i scoop her litter twice a day but she still wants to 'go' on the floor in diff. parts of house,even when box is clean. how do i get her to use just the litter box? is somthing wrong with her? and she 'goes' alot!

There are two possible reasons for this. either she has a urinary infection

Or it is caused by some anxiety and a desire to scent mark their territory. In this case taking them through a period of litter training again using the confinement method often solves the issue, please see these two pages for more on this
