cat with clicking joints

by Sissy shopper

Hi there, I have a healthy 14 year old Tabby that in the past year has developed aclicking or snapping noise when she walks. I have thought it was probably just her age, but it now seems to be more frequent. I saw a recent post about this was answered by saying she needed her claws trimmed. My cat makes this noise on carpet as well as wood floors. Should I have her checked out or is it just her bones creaking just as mine do?

Hi
I would go and have her joints looked at my a vet she may have a arthritis issue

As cats get older they can start to suffer from age related illness such as this. it may be that a simple joint supplement could help her stay supple. But it is worth having checked out i think

best wishes kate
