cat with neck pain

by Esther

My cat's head jerks back and he is in pain. He will run to the cupboard and hide. I have taken him to the vet who has done test etc. not ear infections, nothing stuck in his throat. Vet has said nothing he can find wrong-it is probably a nerve pinch. He has given valium to my cat for 5 days and although my cat is so sleepy and out of it, his head still jerks involuntarily. I hate seeing my cat in pain and I don't know what to do to make him better. Please help.

Oh my goodness htis does sound awful and distressing for both of you.
Well I don't know what to suggest. My thought is to seek a second opnion from another vet, perhaps one who is also into alternative therapies (I know some study it). It may need some manipulation like Chiropractory etc.
I definately would not be happy with just valium, that is not solving the problem just numbing your cat.
Seek another opinion from another vet, don't give up. Your poor cat.

I wish you all the best in finding proper help.

best wishes Kate
