Choking! Sneezing! Cat

My cat has been choking and sneezing and breathing really loudly for a couple of days. He is an out doors cat but he hasn't really been going out to much. He has pussy stuff coming out of his eyesbut he hasn't lost his appetite. It sounds like he has a stuffy nose, like the regular flu. But i'm not sure because he keeps making choking noises.

hi in this situation you really should take him to the vets to have him treated. Eye infection if not treated can leave permanent damage.

It may be your cat has cat flue (if they have not been vaccinated against that), it can be quite nasty.

years of choking sounds, sneezing and wheezing in my cat from the shelter....otherwise seems well and active

my shelter cat, Sammy has always had a choking cough every now and then. He also wheezes while sleeping and sneezes a lot - when I pick him up he seems to breath heavily. other than that, he seems congested a lot with a snotty nose. it has been this way for 4 years and the vet doesn't seem too concerned. Are these just allergies? the choking and hacking sound is somewhat disturbing.
