Concerned Cat Lover

by Randy
(Lubbock, Texas)

I have a cat that was a rescue and we got her 4 years ago. She was left in the country, where she lived but the owners moved away without her.

She is current on all of her shots, she LOVES to go outside and we normally have to call for her at night to come in for bed. She eats Science diet Cd dry cat food. It's recommended by our vet and costs 29.95 for 10 pounds, so I assume that it's a good diet.

Here's the problem: for the last 2 days, she hasn't wanted to go outside, she just lays around and sleeps like she doesn't have much energy. She'll eat, but much less than she normally does. Any idea what is wrong with her?

Hi randy
well the only person who can really diagnose the issue is a vet who will be able to examine her.

It may just be a virus, like we all get from time to time. this can knock them out for a day or two. However if the situation goes on much longer then i would definitely want to see a vet. When a cats behaviour changes radically from their normal day to day behaviours , this is a definite indication that something could be wrong.

Lets hope it is just a little virus that will clear up. best wishes Kate
