Could my cat have allergies?

About a month ago, my cat started having diarhea. Uncontrollably. He was unable to make it to his litter box fast enough and would just go wherever. I took him to the vet and they did a thorough check and found nothing wrong with him. He still has constant diahrea but he has been making it to his box. He doesn't seem to be in any pain, still plays and runs around, still eats and drinks water. About a week ago, I noticed he is losing clumps of hair and is going semi bald on his back. I've been researching and am thinking he may have allergies. I've slowly switched them (there are three of them but he's the only one that's having problems) to a food without corn as I've learned that is a common digestive problem for cats. Have you any experience or advice for this situation? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

Hi
Well cat diarrhea can be caused by the type of food they eat i.e to rich or as you say be irritating their digestive systems. See my page for other possible causes
https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-diarrhea.html

The advice on my pages is to feed a very plain diet for a few days and then to gradually return to normal food. This allows the digestive system to settle down.

Unfortunately with these sorts of conditions it can take a while for things to settle down again. It does sound like he may already be on the mend now.

Hope he is fully recovered soon

Kate
