crying white cat

I have a white cat that has started to cry and cry about two months ago and it is getting worse. He eats and sleeps ok, but whenever we are home, he cries and follows us everywhere. When we hold him, he quiets down, but only until we put him down. What can be wrong with him?

There is a condition known as separation anxiety. This is when a cat becomes overly dependant on you and feels stressed when they are not with you or are not getting enough attention.
