feels like tiny bubbles under my cats skin

when i run my hand across my cats head and neck areas it feels like there is soap bubbles under his skin. ican hear it also and it sounds exactly like tiny soap bubbles bursting. please, is there something wrong with my baby? do i need to take him to the emergency clinic? thanks, april

Hi well this does sound very odd indeed. All i can think is that there may be lots of flea dirts or eggs on the skin which feel like they are under the skin.

However this is only a guess and i think it really is best that you book an appointment for your cat to see the vet so that he can take a closer look. It doesn't sound like an emergency case though so a normal appointment should be ok.

I would be very interested to know what the vet diagnosis.

My cat has the same thing

Just brought my cats in to get neutered and afterward all three of them felt like they had bubbles under their skin. After several hours they disappeared from two of them but the third one still has them and also seems to be recovering the slowest.
