Fisher Cat Question

by Douglas Lightfoot

Good Morning,

Why does my cat drop her mouse toys in our dogs water bowl? She loves water and likes to have a bath, not sure if this is par of it or not.
Thanks
Doug

Hi
I have often been told by many people that their cat drops toys in the water bowl. I think it is just a comfort thing. they like their toys and they like their water and food area and they want to bring the two together for some reason. My cat often drop his toy mouse near his food bowl.

I dont think any one can say for sure why they do this but whatever reason it is nothing to worry about. find it rather cute and my neighbors think it very funny to see a toy mouse pinned to the washing line to dry out.

best wishes Kate

cat puts toy in water ball

My cat Penny does exactly the same thing. I read somewhere that is their way to put their toy away in a fixed place (which is always there in the same place) where they can find it easily later. how cute!

My cat Bonnie who is 1 and a half puts her little toy mouse in the water bowl also. She loves to play fetch with the mouse and sometimes she will put it inthe waterbowl instead of bringing it back.
