I have a cat and he always comes in the house and sleeps in my room. I came home last week and all of a sudden when I set him down in my room he bolts out the cat door. I finally got him to stay in my room but he will not step on the floor. He jumps from the tv to my bed to the dresser. He'll sleep on these too. I also feed him on the tv. Funny thing is he is ok with every other room in the house. It's just my room.

I have heard of this before. Check that you don't have fleas in the carpet. When this has happened before the owner discovered that indeed the carpet was infested. During warm weather this can happen as it causes the eggs to hatch. Flea eggs can lie dormant for years.

Also check your cat and make sure that you have treated him for fleas also using the spot on treatment, that way if there is a flea issue they won't be able to live on him.
