Frustrated cat owner

I have five cats three female and two males, two came from the shelter and three are feral they all live in our house. One of the feral males we gave away and the people brought him back after a few months, now the first female we had (she isent Ferral) wont except him at all, she beats him up wont let him out of the bedroom if we dont watch her.PLEASE WE NEED HELP, WERE THINKING OF BOARDING HER OUT FOR AWEEK AND MAYBE SHE WILL BE THE OUTSIDER.

She is a tortise shell and he is an orange tabby
Can anyone help us?

well cats do not like to live in close contact with other cats as they are not pack animals so it is not unusual for cats to fight.

the only thing you can try is a period of safe introduction for these two cats. it helps to build confidence without fear of attack. the process is described here
