Getting another Cat

Hi there...

I have a kitten well a year in July. He he's a black and white who lives with me in a New York Loft style apartment. I am single and work a lot and I know he is bored. He is very attached to me. I am considering a friend. Will he accept if so older cat or kitten?

well getting a another cat is often not the answer as there are no guarantees that your cat will get on with another cat. Some cats who are brought up with other cats are ok but if he has been brought up on his own then he may only see another cat as a threat.

When you have a cat that is bored and is kept inside then it is better to try and make their internal environment stimulating and interesting. I have a page about this here
