grumpy female cat

i have got an 8yr old female cat and i got a female kitten 2 yrs ago now,my 8 yr old cat hates being near my 2 yr old she growls at her all the time,even if my 2 yr old just passes her she growls at her.wen i got my 2 yr old as a kitten i just thought that they would get used to each other but that isnt the case.

Hi sadly no this is not often the case ad sometimes as in your case the best you can expect is for them just to give each other a wide berth. the growling is just a warning to make sure she stays away and that is normal and nothing really to worry about.

I don't know how you first introduced the cats to each other but there is a process which sometimes helps the situation. Unfortunately as so much time as gone by in your case i doubt it would do any good now but here is the page any way for your information

You could try some cat calming sprays such as felaway etc it may help to relax your grumpy cat a little
