Has my cat gone crazy?

Over the last couple of weeks i've noticed my cat running around as if chasing something quite a few times, jumping around tapping at the floor with his paws like he would a ball, the thing is, there's nothing there! At first i thought he was maybe chasing a bug, but the last few times i've seen him do it and paid more attention, there has been absolutely nothing there at all! not a shadow or bit of fluff, nothing!. He's never done this before the last few weeks. Could there be something wrong with his vision?

well i have seen my own cat do this from time to time and sometimes i think they are just imaginging chasing something, like a game a child would play ie they get so wound up in the game in their heads that they actually start to chase things etc.

It could be worth gettinmg his vsion checked or there may even be illness that could casue this, not being a vet myself I could not say but it could be worth checking.
