Herkemer

Herkemer is the name I gave my beloved Maine Coon kitty who passed away this past March. I saw or read it somewhere many years before I became Herkie's mommy and thought it would be a great cat name. I think it's a county in New York state. Although people would always chuckle or raise an eyebrow when I told them his name, the name fit him to a "T".
