I can never have a glass of water with my cat.

My cat has done this his whole life. If he hears you getting a glass of water, he will fast walk to you, and rub against your legs. Only to get your glass of water. He will drink out of your glass of water, even if you put that glass of water right next to his water bowl. I always keep his water bowl clean and fresh. He even drinks the water that you use to clean of your paint brushes, which took me an hour to keep him away from the water. Is this just a behavior of "this is all of my things, and I shall do as I please." attitude of my cat? I can never have a glass of water at night, or else he will drink out of it. Thanks for looking at my question.

Well as far as I'm concerned this is normal behavior. My cat does this too. If i want a glass of water at night I have to use a special cup with a lid on it so that they don't drink from it.

They also run at the bathroom door when ever they hear a flushing toilet as they can hear the water. i really think that this is just a cat thing and you will just have to get used to it i;m afraid. :)
