my male cat a tabby tries to mate my other male cat. is he just showing who is really dominant?

Is your cat neutered? If not then it can be sign of frustration. male cats have been known to try and mate with kittens due to frustration.
neutering will make your cat a happier more contented cat.
If he is neutered, then ummmm I don't know it could be a dominece thing but it would be unusual as they wouldn't have the hormones which would produce this sort of behaviour
